Button Up is a sustainable jewelry brand established in 2020, with owner and designer Kristin Carrera at the helm. Combining her passion for fashion and vintage finds, Kristin creates exquisite collections of luxury jewelry from authentic, curated materials.

Each piece of Button Up jewelry is handmade with great care in Frankfort, IL, and is made from refurbished vintage designer buttons and charms. By transforming these materials into specially crafted accessories, Button Up is committed to sustainability.

Kristin’s passion for upcycling began when she was searching for a pair of Chanel earrings for her daughter’s high school graduation. After finding some Chanel buttons at an estate sale, she turned them into earrings, and the idea for Button Up was born. By sourcing rare buttons and upcycling them into unique accessories, Kristin has created a jewelry brand that is truly one of a kind.

At Button Up, we believe in the power of upcycling. Instead of recycling, upcycling uses existing materials to create products of greater quality and lower environmental impact. Every vintage piece has a story, and we’re excited to continue telling those stories through our jewelry.
